Rest 50% of the treatment is targeted to increase the bone mass. Doctors also prescribe Vitamin D and calcium to the patients of osteoporosis. Estrogen is a hormone which is considered to be the main offender behind osteoporosis in women. This problem can be cured with the help of estrogen replacement therapy.

There are two types of bisphosphonates that are presently permitted for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. These are risedronate (Actonel) and alendronate (Fosamax). What does hpv cause?

Human papilloma virus (HPV) is caused by a virus and is rather contagious. The most common way the virus spreads is through skin-to-skin contact, generally sexually. HPV can lead to many serious health problems. The infections arrive in various types and may even cause cancer. In most cases, people who are affected from HPV don’t realize they have it because they may not see any visible signs for quite some time.

HPV infects the epidermis and mucous membranes and in some cases, the result can be cancers of the cervix, vulva, vagina and anus. Some types of HPV can result in warts (verrucae). Most types infect the anogenital region and are a result from sexual contact. Some of the HPV types that are transmitted sexually may result in genital warts and, in nearly all cases of cervical cancer, the cause is HPV infection.

Most professionals believe that HPV is a co-factor in the development of lung cancer. The studies have shown this virus works together with the other factors like tobacco or radon, which ultimately result in lung cancer.
Young females can be affected by the HPV, but the infection is generally temporary without long-term significance. In almost 70% of infection cases, the HPV is gone within 1 year, and in about 90% of the cases infection is gone in 2 years.

Who invented birth control?

Not long ago, there was a time when people were unaware that an unwanted pregnancy could be avoided. Now, in the age of technology and awareness, times have changed so much that nearly every woman is aware of different methods and options for birth control. The oldest of methods date back when women utilized the coitus interruptus, lactational, and also the herbal methods. Women were subjected to methods like using oil paper as a cervical cap, and some woman used beeswax for this purpose as well.

It was in the 17th century that condoms appeared, which were made from animal intestine.  Margaret Sanger, an American birth control activist and founder of The American Birth Control League, became key to opening the doors to public and professional access to birth control. It was in the year 1960 that the FDA gave approval for the first form of hormone birth control, the combination oral contraceptive pill. The oral, hormonal contraceptives were the invention of Carl Djerassi, along with Mexican Luis E. Miramontes, and Hungarian George Rosenkranz in the year 1951. Their pills began offering very positive results, and people started recognizing the benefits of these pills were delivering. Over the years, these pills have been modified and continue to remain safer for the body. Initially, the development and invention of the birth control method was created for the ongoing health of the woman and to avoid the risk of death during an abortion.

Does Milk Prevent Osteoporosis?

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)
Loading ... Loading ...

Do you know why the dairy products always remain in great demand? It is basically because we are intelligent people and know that we need much amount of calcium for the protection of bones and tissues. It is estimated that an adult human being requires 800 mg of calcium each day. This amount is quite high in case of a pregnant or nursing woman.
In the developed countries like US it is recommended to have 800 mg to 1200 mg of calcium everyday.  It is basically because in European and American countries undue soft drink consumption is common with both teenagers and adults. The phosphoric acid present in soft drinks removes a significant amount of calcium from the body. This is the reason why the consumption of more calcium is preferable.

It is believed that the daily consumption of dairy products will strengthen our bones. But the story is quite different when it comes to osteoporosis, a common bone disease. Milk is also an important dairy product but some important studies have clearly revealed that the consumption of milk is directly proportional to the rate of osteoporosis. Shocking! Isn’t it?

On the other hand, underdeveloped African Bantu women merely require 350 mg of calcium each day.  In their lifetime they bear up to 9 children and recurrently breast feed them for 2 years. They never suffer from the deficiency of calcium and hardly become the victim of natural bone fracture.

How common is HPV

Loading ... Loading ...

HPV has become more common in recent years. Even if you do not have many sexual partners, you may still be at a high risk of catching HPV infection. There are many strains of HPV and, although not all may cause genital warts, it can result in abnormal changes on the genital skin a female cervix. The high risk types of HPV are those that result in cervical cancer. Some of the lower-risk types of HPV infections may result in raised external genital warts.

Since this virus has spread globally rather quickly, it’s important to be cautious and always practice safe sex. Another precaution is to verify you and your sexual partner are not currently suffering from any of the sexually transmitted diseases. People engaging in sexual activity with multiple partners are at a higher risk of contracting this infection. Penetration is not necessary for the transfer of this virus, which has become the most commonly transferred sexually transmitted disease in the U.S.

When a woman realizes she needs to protect herself because of an active sexual lifestyle, the first reaction should be to go and consult a gynecologist or a doctor for an exam.

These pills basically diminish the chances of experiencing an unwanted pregnancy, and help some women plan their lives a little easier. By simply following the pill’s intake instructions and staying consistent with your medication, the pills are believed to be 99% effective. In some cases, the effectiveness of these pills have decreased if women were taking another form of medication or antibiotics.
